First to Fourth Day
Start in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Lisbon is a fantastic city to visit with its monuments, museums, restaurants, religious and historic buildings, gardens and many other cultural and recreational places. To visit Lisbon's very best spots, you will join a full-day Lisbon & Sintra Deluxe Tour, taking you to Pena Palace, Sintra, Colares, Cabo da Roca, Guincho, Boca do Inferno, Cascais and Estoril. (During the summer, the trip from Sintra – Colares will be done by tram; at other times of the year, travel will be by bus.) If you prefer to explore independently, the tour includes a 48 hour Lisbon card. The card includes free and unlimited travel on Carris Bus (Lisbon buses), trams, funiculars, underground and CP train lines (Rossio»Sintra»Rossio and Cais do Sodre»Cascais»Cais do Sodre) as well as free admission to 26 museums, historic buildings and many other places of interest.
Fourth to Seventh Day
Head to Gare do Oriente train station where a first-class train will whisk you north to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Porto. The birthplace of Port wine is set on a hillside above the Douro River and serves as a gateway to the Douro River Valley’s winemaking and agricultural region.A Half Day City Tour starts your stay, traveling to sights such as the Cathedral, S. Bento train station, Lello bookshop and a port wine cellar where you'll enjoy wine tasting. The Porto 48 hour card is included and offers free and discounted entry to many attractions, such as the Port Wine Museum, Casa da Musica, Tram Museum, Military Museum, Porto Cathedral, Stock Exchange Palace, Clerigos Tower, and more. The card also offers discounts available to some stores, including, Port cellars (Taylor's, Croft's, Graham's), theatres and concert halls (Porto Puppet Theatre, Rivoli Municipal Theatre, São João National Theatre), theme parks and gardens (Water Pavilion, Sea Life Porto, Porto Planetarium) and selected restaurants. Porto Cards which include the transport ticket Andante Tour offer free transport on Porto's metro, the Guindais funicular, STCP buses, CP-Comboios de Portugal's urban trains between Valongo and Espinho among others.
Travel to Porto Airport to board your flight. For an additional charge, you may also return to Lisbon via first class train, transfer by private car to the airport to catch your flight out of Lisbon airport.
