Celebrate 2025 with the Biggest New Year’s Eve Parties in Porto

As the clock ticks down to 2025, Porto is gearing up for a host of exciting New Year’s Eve celebrations. We’ve taken a look at the best parties in central Porto and its surroundings to ensure that you have a fun-filled start to the New Year. Here’s your ultimate guide to the best parties in and around Porto to help you welcome the New Year in style.

1. Avenida dos Aliados and Crystal Palace Gardens

Porto’s main celebration takes over Avenida dos Aliados and the stunning Crystal Palace Gardens. Starting at 10 p.m., music fills the air, and a massive crowd gathers to witness some of Portugal’s top artists.

Young talent Nuno Ribeiro kicks off the night on Avenida dos Aliados followed by Portuguese rock legend Rui Veloso after midnight. Dance the night away with a DJ set by Carolina Torres. Admission is free. On New Year’s Day, Avenida dos Aliados is the place to be to catch the traditional New Year Concert by the Portuguese Symphony Band starting at 4pm.

Over at Crystal Palace Gardens (R. de Dom Manuel II), rapper Julinho KSD gets the party started and producer Branko taking the stage post-midnight. The celebration concludes with a DJ set by Sónia Trópicos. Admission here is also free.

No New Year’s Eve celebration is complete without fireworks. This year’s display, accompanied by music and multimedia effects from “Circle of Light” by Grandpa’s Studio, promises to be mesmerizing.

2. La Nuit

La Nuit returns for the third consecutive year for another impressive New Year’s Eve celebration. Dress to impress in elegant attire and dance to a curated lineup from house, tech, deep house, and afro house DJs until dawn. So far, the lineup includes Ashton Collier, La Marie, Paulo Assis, and more.

3. La Feria: Una Noche Andaluza

Ring in 2024 in style at the luxurious Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel (R. de Cervantes 169) This celebration channels the spirit of Seville with an evening filled with flamenco performances, live music, and DJ sets. Indulge in an exquisite Iberian-inspired gala dinner featuring delicacies like foie gras, blue washer ravioli with caviar, and a decadent dark chocolate dessert, paired with fine Portuguese wines and a champagne toast at midnight. The festivities continue into the night with an open bar and an array of late-night treats, including pintxos, seafood, and Portuguese specialties.

4. Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Maia

Celebrate the arrival of 2025 with an unforgettable night of light, music, and joy at Praça Doutor José Vieira de Carvalho in Maia. This dazzling celebration features a spectacular fireworks display, a multimedia laser and video mapping show, and live performances by Expensive Soul, one of Portugal’s favorite bands. Dance the night away with DJ Wilson Honrado, a renowned name in Portuguese radio, keeping the energy alive until the early hours of the new year.

An evening of jazz is the perfect way to welcome the New Year at the Hot Five Jazz & Blues Club in Porto. Celebrate 2025 with a musical evening of live performances featuring the best of jazz, blues, and pop. This is a great to enjoy an elegant evening on a smaller scale than some of the bigger celebrations around town. The price is also much more affordable than tickets to big hotel events.

Time: 9:30 pm until late
Prices: Tickets start at €60 per person. Table reservations must be validated before 11:00 pm on the event day.
