10 Days/ 9 Nights. This itinerary is designed to provide you and your family with an independent self-drive trip staying at some of the finest accommodations in Portugal. The 9 night itinerary begins in Lisbon the capital of Portugal. After Lisbon, you'll be exploring the South of Portugal staying near the great beaches of the renowned southern region of the Algarve. The itinerary also includes the Alentejo countryside, a region tucked between Algarve and the center of Portugal.
Day 1 - Lisbon
Arrival at Lisbon airport, car rental pick up and departure to your hotel in Lisbon. At the end of the afternoon, you might consider an optional Moto Side Car to discover Lisbon. Accommodation for 3 nights.
Day 2 - Lisbon
A day to tour the city of Lisbon. In the morning, an optional Private Yacht sailing on the Tejo River for a different view of Lisbon. In the afternoon, explore Lisbon on your own or a Private Half Day Tour with guide as an optional.
Day 3 - Lisbon
Today we suggest that you drive to the village of Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage) and the Estoril Coast on your own.
Day 4 - Algarve
Hotel Check-out. Proceed to Alentejo region to visit Evora where we suggest you to have lunch. Then proceed to the village of Monsaraz for a visit. Afterwards continue to the Algarve for your accommodation for 3 nights.
Day 5 - Algarve
Free Day at the Hotel in Algarve. Possible outdoor activities include: Bird watching, Hiking guided tours, Dolphin watching, fishing or Yacht charter. Please consult us for details and prices.
Day 6 - Algarve
Free Day at the Hotel in Algarve to enjoy the stay. For outdoor activities, please consult us.
Day 7 - Malhadinha Nova
In the morning, proceed to Malhadinha Nova Country House. Biking and Picnic in the afternoon at the Estate. (there are other activities you can do: hot air balloon, 4 wheel drive, horseback riding, among others). Suggested Dinner at the Estate (not included). Accommodation for one night.
Day 8 - Lisbon
Enjoy the property and late in the morning, depart north and return to Lisbon. Free time in Lisbon. Accommodation at Myriad By Sana located in the Nations Park modern area, which is just 5 minutes away from the airport. It's great for walking around (where the Lisbon's families come to walk around), for shopping, eating out, visiting the biggest Oceanarium of Europe, going to the Casino (for those who like it), etc. Accommodation for one night.
Day 9 - Home
Hotel Check-out and proceed to Lisbon airport. Return the rental car at the airport.

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, located at the mouth of the Tagus River and from where the Portuguese boats set sail overseas in the 15th and 16th centuries towards East. Alentejo is the widest region of Portugal. Here the landscape is "gentle" composed by rolling hills covered by cork oak trees, vineyards and wheat fields. The lifestyle is serene in the small villages with white washed houses where the time slowly passes by… The gastronomy is robust and creative with wines to match it, in contrast with the calmness of the local people of the region.
Evora is a beautiful small town in the Alentejo region. It is surrounded by the old walls and it is also a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and it will attract you for its medieval appearance, the narrow streets, the historic center and for the kindness of the locals. Amongst several interesting monuments, you shall not miss the Roman Temple from the 1st century, unique of this kind in both Portugal and Spain. This is also the perfect place for a great gastronomic and wine experience, known as one of the regions in Portugal with more traditional and quality at this level. You shall also not miss the opportunity of having a meal in one of the city's great restaurants.
Monsaraz is an ancient medieval village surrounded by tall walls and narrow streets with beautiful monuments made with whitewashed schist stone. From the castle ayou can see the marvelous landscapes, with the rural fields and the surprising Alqueva Lake.
Algarve is the most famous summer retreat in Portugal with the best beaches. From the magnificent white sandy beaches to the rocky coastline and steep cliffs, Algarve has a diverse gorgeous coastal landscapes.
